off to the smoke!
As I write, my suitcase is packed again and I’m coming to fly the flag for Northern ladies in London for a few days! I get many charming emails from gentlemen south of Watford Gap (whatever that is) and have thus decided to flee the arctic wastes of the North Yorkshire coast and make some new friends in the capital! I will be travelling down tomorrow afternoon and returning on Friday so do get in touch – there are a very few appointments available, although frankly, I am already almost rushed off my feet (or lets face it, would be if I ever spent any significant time on them!)
I am also looking forward to more upcoming foreign travel, and the next few weeks are filling up fast! With this in mind, may I respectfully ask that if you decide to telephone me and arrange a meeting, can you please inform me beforehand if you are then unable to attend? I never whinge (as you know, it is very unladylike), but have been left lonely and disappointed several times over the last couple of weeks by gentlemen who have made arrangements & then for whatever reason, seemingly vanished into thin air! It is not only unkind to others who may be waiting to see me, but frankly is the height of bad manners too.
I will be back in town on Friday evening, hopefully with some tales to tell – maybe I’ll learn even more new tricks to delight you! In my absence, for those among you close by who really can’t hold their horses (you know who you are!) the lovely Lady Carla may be able to fit you in – her number is 07990 930890. As usual, I will be only a phone call or email away though so feel free to make arrangements with me for my return! You wouldn’t want me to get bored, now would you? x
