The bag (singular; so far at least) is packed, the refrigerator is bare apart from champagne, nail polish\u00a0and\u00a0a bunch of\u00a0elderly\u00a0spring onions (another olfactory\u00a0no-no; I can’t imagine why I bought them). I travel to Paris tomorrow and will not be available again until next Sunday (16th March). The forecast is rain, rain and more rain, so I shall be sure to take some toys and games to amuse myself; indoor activities will be the order of the day by the look of things! Although\u00a0bearing in mind\u00a0the\u00a0fabulous galleries,\u00a0cinemas\u00a0and restaurants as well as the inescapable (for me at least) grands magasins<\/em>, I’m sure I won’t get bored.\u00a0I’ve always thought that whilst alfresco entertainment can\u00a0provide a\u00a0\u00a0pleasing diversion, I myself am at definitely at my best when indoors, at least until global warming has become more reliable.<\/p>\n

You will pleased to know that whilst I will be swanning around Paris, my trusty mobile phone will be attended by my good friend Lady Carla, who has graciously agreed to play secretary for the week. If you would like to arrange to see me upon my return, please do not hesitate to telephone her.
