I&#8217;ve been\u00a0happily surprised and\u00a0very flattered by the number of you who were so patiently holding your horses until my return from my holiday &#8211;\u00a0immediately back to the grind! (in the nicest possible way, of course.) As some of you will know, circumstances beyond my control have unfortunately meant that my incalls lately have been truly <em>chez <\/em>Amy, the luxury flat where I would normally entertain having been decimated by flooding and all manner of disaster (well, all that can happen from the upstairs neighbours leaving the bath on). I thank again everyone who has been gallant enough to enjoy their meeting despite being\u00a0surrounded by the general chaos that is my actual <em>pied a terre<\/em> (basically a\u00a0walk in wardrobe with sleeping accommodation) without complaint!<\/p>\n<p>Fortunately for me, I have had\u00a0a very nice time entertaining at home\u00a0and am currently planning a major upheaval in the bathroom department; a charming and handsome friend of mine who knows about these things is hopefully going to help me sort it out with all mod cons including a new suite, floor, proper tiles,\u00a0 fabulous showering facilities and even possibly actual heating (which to anyone who has visited will be a particularly welcome change!)
