FAQ: all you need to know!

I find that I am often fielding the same enquiries upon answering the telephone and have therefore decided that it may prove helpful and informative to provide the answers to these in a dedicated and easily digested section. Some are also covered elsewhere on the site; my apologies for any repetition!!

First and foremost, the following are questions I am commonly asked which are so infuriatingly vague so as to have no meaning and therefore, no answer.

"When are you available?"

"Which services do you offer?"

And my personal favourite "Can I have some details?"

Please, before you contact me, give some thought as to what it is specifically you would like to know - I cannot be of any help unless you can narrow it down at least a little; proposed days, times, length of booking and requests for particularly sought-after services are all helpful!

OTHER FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

1: How recent are your photographs?

My Gallery is regularly changing, and I am proud to say that the pictures are all my own work. Most are from the last 12 months; the most recent displayed (at/nearer the top) were taken on the 27th January 2012.  For the techier amongst you, my camera is a Nikon D60 with a remote control and the pictures were edited and resized using Picasa (free and thankfully, virtually idiot-proof). New ones will follow as ever, at regular intervals.

2: Do I need to bring anything to our meeting?

Nothing at all - I provide all the requisite protection, refreshments and everything else includng unscented toiletries for those who prefer them. If you would like to bring a small gift then please feel free but these are not expected; your clean, polite and fragrant self will be more than enough. And obviously your money.

3: How much notice do you need for an appointment?

An absolute minimum of 2 hours. At least 24 hours is preferable, and longer is inevitably necessary for outcalls, or if you have a narrow time frame in mind within which you would like to see me. Same day appointments are sometimes available if you telephone in the morning - people do cancel and it is always worth a try to see if I can accommodate you!

PLEASE do not ring and expect me to be available in half an hours' time! Engaging thought though it is, I do not awaken fully made up and resplendent in all my finery, nor do I spend my days sitting around the house thus attired waiting for the telephone to ring. And to those who ring thinking I can see them in fifteen minutes, well, I don't mean to offend, but under these circumstances, you can count on it.

4: I have had a great time & really enjoyed your company - may I take you for a drink tomorrow?

Of course you may! Please ask me about my ‘social' rates and if I am available I will be glad to join you. Please understand that I do not socialise for free - I'm sorry but I cannot possibly see my clients outside the business setting - this would be very unprofessional, not to mention extremely unfair on others!

5: Why do you need my details?

If I am visiting you, I need to know for my safety & security that you are who you say you are. I will check your details and if I cannot verify them I will not see you. If you book and then decide to miss your appointment without letting me know, I need your contact number to ensure I never take another booking from you; my work is my only source of income and I will not allow either this or the enjoyment of my other clients to be jeopardised by such selfishness and bad manners.

6: Where are you located? Is it discreet and easy to park?

I am about 5 minutes drive/ten minutes walk (at most) from the railway station in Scarborough - my apartment has a very discreet entrance and there is plenty of on street 'disc' parking, although this can be a little unpredictable during the summer months. In addition, there is a good-sized pay-and-display car park not far away, which is £1.50 for the first hour, £2.50 for two hours (and so on) & free after 6pm.

I have done my best throughout the site to answer any queries you may have, but if there are others please do get in touch. Be assured it is ALWAYS me who answers the telephone and apart from anything else, I promise that I am nowhere near as stroppy in person as I am on paper!
