a tale of two seasides!
I know I have neglected my diary a little recently; instead I have been traversing the country meeting lots of new friends and visiting new places, the last of these being an overnight assignation in Southend – up to press the furthest I have travelled to meet anyone and a charming town where I felt quite at home (like Scarborough only bigger and in Essex). I must confess to being a pushover for a man with an accent (amongst other things) and very much enjoyed spending time feeling like a gangster’s moll in a low budget Brit flick! I would recommend it to anyone who finds Scarborough a little bracing – there is a definite temperature difference and I was certainly chilly upon my return; my nightwear, as some of you are aware, may well be appealing to the eye and touch but does not provide much insulation when faced with a frosty Northern night (although it was nothing that my trusty electric blanket couldn’t fix).
As I write, I am looking for a new premises from which to work – due to myriad & unsolvable problems with my lovely flat I now face traipsing around the letting agents to find somewhere else; frankly not an easy prospect with no references or wage slips, only one years’ accounts and a very misunderstood and undervalued occupation (although I have been gently advised that it might not be prudent to come clean about that one). It will be nice to provide some modern facilities for my guests – by my own admission my place, while ‘homely’ (as one visitor has kindly described it) and certainly discreet is far from ideal for any activities which involve making a mess; no shower, no central heating etc. Any suggestions on getting past the red tape – please email me! Any suggestions that actually work can be assured of a special rate for their next appointment; thinking caps on and best cover story wins! xxx
